A Gift for the Saviour

“The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” (Revelation 4:10,11 KJV)

When I lived in Texas my pastor preached several sermons from this passage of Scripture and told us that we would someday have crowns, I thought I don’t want a crown. Then I realized that I could give it to Jesus. Jesus is worthy to receive glory and honour and power! Worthy is the Lamb of God! Glory to His Majestic Name! All hail, King Jesus!

Jesus gives us so much. The most important thing He has given us is Salvation through His Precious Atoning Blood. Sunday, we will celebrate His Resurrection. Sad to say, many people will treat Easter just like they do Christmas. They will get dressed in their best clothes, go to church and worship Him, then the rest of the year not even think about Him.

We ask Him for so much and get upset when He doesn’t answer us right away. He doesn’t ask much of us considering all He has done for us. He asks us to love one another unconditionally, yet many times we don’t do it. It breaks the Heart of our Saviour when we don’t show love to one another.

Have you given your heart and life to Jesus? Has there ever been a time in your life when you realized that you are a sinner and on your way to hell, eternal separation from Jesus? There is no better time than right now to give your heart to Him. He is waiting with outstretched Arms of Love.
