All you can Eat
“Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on
the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to
eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way. And they
did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left
seven baskets full.” (Matthew 15:32,37 KJV)
My sister and I love to go to buffets to eat where you get all you can eat for
one price. One day, Jesus paid the price for our sins with His own blood and
because of that we can get all the love that Jesus has for us. We don’t have to
pay for it; we couldn’t pay for it. We could never satisfy God’s demands for
holiness. It took our sinless Saviour to meet God’s requirements.
Jesus said “I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way”. Many
times we go to Him with broken hearts and broken homes and He does not send us
away with our emotions the way they were when we went to Him. He lovingly
comforts, encourages, heals, protects and puts the song back in our hearts once
again.
Jesus has spread a banquet of unconditional love, mercy, grace, tenderness,
encouragement, understanding, hope, forgiveness and kindness and we can have all
that we want because of the price He paid for it. Has there ever been a time in
your life when you invited the Christ of Calvary to be your personal Saviour?
Unless you have made a heart commitment to Him, you will never know His Love,
peace, joy and contentment. If you’re hungry today for understanding, real love,
joy, happiness and kindness, turn to Jesus. He will never leave you, not even
for one minute. You can depend on Jesus. Can He depend on you?
