Christ Crucified

The Apostle Paul in his ministry desired to help the Corinthian Christians see that the power of their faith is in God -- not in human ideas and strategies. He wrote in his letter:- "Dear Brothers even when I first came to you I didn't use lofty words and brilliant ideas to tell you God's message. For I decided that I would speak only of Jesus Christ and his death on the cross." (1 Corinthians 2: 1-2 LB)

The convincing proof of the Apostle Paul's ministry was his changed life, the power of a life lived in the spirit of Christ

The Christian message is, above all, a life -- Christ crucified -- the very righteousness of God. We experience the mysterious power of God's Spirit, it reaches our hearts and like the publican in the parable we say, "God be merciful to me, a sinner." Luke 18:13b

The ultimate witness of faith is the convincing proof displayed in a changed life. As Paul lived in the spirit of Christ, our lives so lived, divinely supported by the presence of the Holy Spirit will evoke faith, bring light, justice, righteousness, and a preserving faith in others to change their lives.

Lord, Give us the power to live as Christ, that others will see your good works and give you glory.....Amen
