Glimpses of God
Holy, Holy, Holy

There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is
there any rock like our God. Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them
rejoice that seek the Lord.
As for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy
fear will I worship toward thy holy temple. For our heart shall rejoice in him,
because we have trusted in his holy name.
O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy
holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.
There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy
place of the tabernacles of the most High. A father of the fatherless, and a
judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. The chariots of God are
twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai,
in the holy place.
O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that
giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God. I will also praise
thee with the psaltery, even thy truth, O my God: unto thee will I sing with the
harp, O thou Holy One of Israel.
For the Lord is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king. Let them
praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.
Exalt ye the Lord our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy. Exalt
the Lord our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the Lord our God is holy.
Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the Lord.
For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant. He sent redemption
unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is
his name.
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy
lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy
name. The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord: and let all flesh bless his holy
name for ever and ever. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the
knowledge of the holy is understanding.
And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord of hosts:
the whole earth is full of his glory. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my
holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the
waters cover the sea.
Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and
gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of
the Lord, to the mighty One of Israel. That they may see, and know, and
consider, and understand together, that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and
the Holy One of Israel hath created it.
As for our redeemer, the Lord of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel. The
Lord hath made bare his holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the
ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God. For thy Maker is thine
husband; the Lord of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel;
The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous
and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he
cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. For David himself said
by the Holy Ghost, The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I
make thine enemies thy footstool. To perform the mercy promised to our fathers,
and to remember his holy covenant.
As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall
be called holy to the Lord.
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much
more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? Take
heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy
Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath
purchased with his own blood.
Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. For if
the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are
the branches. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your
reasonable service. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but
righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but
which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. If any
man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is
holy, which temple ye are.
By pureness, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Ghost, by
love unfeigned, Greet one another with an holy kiss.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of
the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. In whom all the building fitly framed
together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: Which in other ages was not
made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles
and prophets by the Spirit; And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye
are sealed unto the day of redemption. That he might present it to himself a
glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it
should be holy and without blemish.
Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies,
kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering ... He therefore that
despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy
Spirit.
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he
saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.
God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers
miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? For such an
high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners,
and made higher than the heavens. The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way
into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle
was yet standing.
For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the
figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of
God for us. But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner
of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. Ye also, as
lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up
spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.
Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar
people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of
darkness into his marvellous light: For the prophecy came not in old time by the
will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. For
there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy
Ghost: and these three are one.
And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of
eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God
Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord,
and glorify thy name? For thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and
worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.
Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the
second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and
shall reign with him a thousand years.
And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven,
prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And he carried me away in the
spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy
Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, And he said unto me, These sayings
are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to
shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.
He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be
filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that
is holy, let him be holy still. Wherefore he saith also in another psalm, Thou
shalt not suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
