Hard to Breathe

“And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their
synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness
and every disease among the people.” (Matthew 9: 35 KJV)
I have a terrible cold which has settled in my chest making it difficult to
breathe. I think as Jesus hung on the cross that heartbreaking day, it was very
difficult for Him to breathe. Eventually, I’ll get over my cold but Jesus didn’t
get well that day. He died for us and shed His precious atoning blood so that we
may be saved and live with Him for eternity.
One day, we will suffer and hurt no more. The trumpet will sound with a
victorious blast and Jesus will come back for us. When we see Jesus face to
face, it will indeed be worth it all. What a privilege and honor to be able to
look in the eyes of my blessed Saviour. He, who had never done anything wrong in
His life allowed Himself to be crucified on a cross of torture and shame so that
we may be saved. What amazing unconditional love from the heart of Jesus!
If you have never allowed Jesus to heal you from bitterness, resentment, hatred,
unforgiveness, harshness, anger, criticism and sarcasm, open your heart today
and let Him deposit His cleansing healing blood in your heart. Unless our hearts
are healed and in right standing with Him, we will never see Him face to face or
live with Him. We will spend all eternity with satan.
Thank God for His provision for us in the gift of His Son to us. As we celebrate
Thanksgiving in a couple of days we truly have a reason for which to be
thankful, and His name is Jesus! Have you made room for Jesus in your heart and
life?
