The man with the new camera learned where the switches were that turned it on or off; he learned how to focus the subject inside instead of outside the frame; he learned how to load and unload the images card that held all the photos. It all took time and concentration of mind and skill and each step had to be put into action to fix it in his mind.

Then he learned how to take some unusual pictures, like a bird just landing with its wings still outspread, or a bee loaded with pollen ready to leave a flower, or a raindrop just as it hit the puddle and sent up a perfectly sculptured fountain head.

In time, he could even download his pictures to the television or the computer and share them with his family and friends who had not observed them before. The views were as exciting as they were beautiful and they transformed our world.

He had wonders at his fingertips because of the instrument in his hand. Through it, he transformed the world around us because he had learned the rules of engagement and shared his views with us.

Yet so often we find people who have the most incredible instrument at their fingertips but who never learn the rules of engagement. They do not share their wonders but are simply content to keep them for themselves. They never download their views to transform the world for others.

How many claim to have Jesus in their lives but have no idea of the rules of engagement because they do not study the instruction manual? They are content to have an incredible 'instrument' but never use it to transform the world for others.

You have incredible power because you have "Christ in you, the hope of glory," (Colossians 1:27). Think of him as a camera that comes with a Book of instruction and by following the instructions, you capture incredible pictures. He is your travelling camera, capturing a world "transformed by the renewing of your minds. Then you will be able to discern the will of God, and to know what is good, acceptable, and perfect." (Romans 12:2).

Through his instruction Book, you will learn how to download the Christ in you as a living picture. Then the Christ in you will become a living picture in them and he will transform their world, too.
