The Healng Fountain of Love

“Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto
the clouds. How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children
of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings. For with thee is the
fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light. O continue thy lovingkindness
unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.” (
Ps 36: 5, 7, 9, 10 KJV)
Have you ever seen a fountain that was so beautiful and looked so refreshing
that you wanted to get in it? I have been tempted many times to get in a
fountain but I knew that it wasn’t allowed. O dear friends, we have a healing
fountain of love that is not only available for us but it is also permissible
for us to get in it. The name of this healing fountain of love is Jesus. He is
waiting with a tender heart and with His arms open wide for us to plunge into
His healing fountain of love.
Jesus, whose tender heart is our healing fountain of love, is the most beautiful
fountain we will ever see. He is dazzling and aglow with colorful lights of
sweetness, kindness, honesty, joy, peace, happiness, forgiveness, tenderness,
understanding, compassion, unconditional love, and protection and caring. His
heart is so full of unconditional love that every person in the world could jump
into His fountain and there would still be more room.
Jesus is our healing fountain of love and we are to be like Him in the way we
treat one another. The things we say and the things we do should encourage
people, not discourage them. We are not perfect and we will never be perfect
while we are on this earth but as we allow Jesus to change us into loving people
we will have a desire to be kind to people. There will be times when we will
fail and we will hurt people just as they fail and hurt us. However, if our
hearts are right before God then He will understand when we say and do things
that we don’t mean to say and do. He will understand that they were said in the
heat of an argument and we really didn’t mean to be critical, sarcastic and
unkind. He will once again encourage us to be more loving and kind. If we will
remember that Jesus is loving and kind to us when we hurt Him, I think it will
make it easier to be loving and kind to people when they hurt us.
If you’re weary with the hurts and struggles of life and you have heartaches
that are weighing you down with discouragement and defeat, I urge you to jump
into the healing fountain of love and allow Jesus to refresh you with His
healing love, tenderness and understanding.
Thank God for our healing fountain of love, our precious Saviour. He not only
saves us from our sins; He saves us from the hurts and heartaches of this life.
What a friend we have in Jesus! There is no other friend like Him. No one loves
us like Jesus Loves us. Thank You, Jesus for loving us no matter how many times
we fail You. You are wonderful and I love You with all of my heart.
