Example of a Psalm
O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Psalm 8:1b-9

Preparedness for Creating New Psalms (Hymns), and Songs
Be ye followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, giving yourself for others an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Be filled with the Spirit; Speaking yourselves (Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13:1) in psalms (hymns) and spiritual songs, singing (making melody "in your heart") to the Lord; ("Giving thanks always" for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; "Submitting yourselves one to another" in the fear of God). Ephesians 5:1-2, 8-10, 18b-21
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching (Teaching us, that we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope ... Colossians 3:16
Content of a New Song
O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.

For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods. Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts. O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof. We do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness; Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.
