joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

Example of a Psalm
O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Who hast set thy
glory above the heavens.
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of
thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars,
which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son
of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the
angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have
dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and
the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! Psalm 8:1b-9

Encouragement to Sing a New Song
Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the
congregation of saints. Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the
children of Zion be joyful in their King. Let them praise his name in the dance:
let them sing praises unto him with the timbrel and harp. For the Lord taketh
pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.
Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of
his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent
greatness. Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the
psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with
stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him
upon the high sounding cymbals. Let every thing that hath breath praise the
Lord. Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 149:1-4, 150:6

Lord is right (righteousness); and all his works are done in truth (judgment).

Preparedness for Creating New Psalms (Hymns), and Songs
Be ye followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath
loved us, giving yourself for others an offering and a sacrifice to God for a
sweetsmelling savour. For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in
the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all
goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.
Be filled with the Spirit; Speaking yourselves (Though I speak with the tongues
of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a
tinkling cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13:1) in psalms (hymns) and spiritual songs,
singing (making melody "in your heart") to the Lord; ("Giving thanks always" for
all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
"Submitting yourselves one to another" in the fear of God). Ephesians 5:1-2,
8-10, 18b-21
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching (Teaching us,
that we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Looking for that blessed hope ... Titus 2:12-13) and admonishing (Count him not
as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. 2 Thessalonians 3:15 See example:
Hebrews 8:5) one another in psalms (hymns) and spiritual songs, singing (with
grace "in your hearts") to the Lord. Colossians 3:16
Content of a New Song
O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.
Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day
(with every new song). Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among
all people. For the Lord is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared
above all gods. Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in
his sanctuary.
Give unto the Lord, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the Lord glory and
strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and
come into his courts. O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before
him, all the earth.
Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be
established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the
fulness thereof. Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall
all the trees of the wood rejoice Before the Lord: for he cometh, for he cometh
to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people
with his truth. Psalm 96:1-4, 6-13

to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
