Do you Reflect the Beauty of Jesus?

“One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.” (Psalm 27: 4 KJV)

Albert Orsbon wrote a song that should make us search our hearts. The song is “Let the Beauty of Jesus”. The words are soul searching words. “Let the beauty of Jesus be seen in me. All His wonderful passion and purity. O my Savior divine, all my being refine. Till the beauty of Jesus be seen in me.”

I ask myself this question many times “Do people see the beauty of Jesus in me?” This is a question that every Christian should ask himself or herself. Just as the lights and ornaments on a Christmas tree reflect the beauty of the tree so the way we live our lives should draw people to Jesus and reflect His beauty.

God grant that every Christian will draw people to Jesus and reflect His beauty. Do you reflect the beauty of Jesus? When people hear you talk, do they hear the compassion of Jesus in your words? Do they feel His unconditional love for them in your actions? If we are not reflecting the beauty of Jesus in our words and actions, we are hurting Jesus and breaking His heart.

Heavenly Father, please have mercy on us and forgive us for not reflecting the beauty of Jesus in the way we live. When people look at us, may they always see the beauty of Jesus in our smiles, feel Him in our actions and hear Him in our words. May we be children who bring You happiness instead of children who bring you sadness. Amen.
