Give Thanks
"Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love
endures forever." (Psalm 107:1)
"... give thanks in all circumstances..." (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
Turkey. Pilgrims. Indians. Cranberry jelly. Don't forget the pumpkin pie!
Parents, spouse, children, family, home, things, jobs, clothes, food, stuff, friends, health, life itself.
Thanksgiving….a good time to ask, what am I thankful for?
Even better, whom should I thank?
Often it looks like it's a person who deserves our thanks. Sometimes we think circumstances get the credit. Yet ultimately, everything we have is a gift from God. Even who we are is a gift from God. God uses people and situations to bring His gifts to us. He alone is the Great Gift-giver.
It is good to know Who to thank....
"...always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of
our Lord Jesus Christ." (Ephesians 5:20)
