God's Economy

“Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to
morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little
faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? Or, What shall we
drink, or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the
Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these
things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all
these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6: 30-33 KJV)
A few days ago, I was talking to a friend on the telephone. I said “The Saviour
of the world loves us. What more do we need?” When we have the assurance in our
hearts that Jesus loves us, we don’t need anything else. We don’t need big homes
or expensive cars. It is nice to have these things but we don’t need them.
Our economy goes up and down but there is one economy that will always stay the
same and it is God’s economy. His economy will never change because He owns
everything. He has promised that He will take care of us and supply everything
that we need. He has never failed us, not one time. Yet, there are times when we
panic and doubt His promise to us. How we must hurt Him and break His heart.
Heavenly Father, thank You for being a Father that we can trust. Thank You for
supplying all of our needs. Thank You that You even give us things that we don’t
need just because You love us and want us to be happy. We love You, dear Father,
and we appreciate all that You do for us. Amen.
