I'm Counting My Blessings

I know I've been blessed, 

But why, I can't say, 

Good things just keep happening 

In my life today!

I looked up and asked Him, 

Now, how can this be, 

That all this is given 

to someone like me?

The spring of my life, 

Overflowing with gladness, 

Burst forth from a pit 

Full of darkness and sadness.

My eyes, like a lamp, 

From my soul you can see, 

All the miracles of life, 

That are happening to me!

I'm counting my blessings, 

And, just for today, 

I know that God loves me 

And wants it this way!
