What True Love Really Is
There can not be enough words to say
How grateful I am that I don’t have to pay
The price that you gave
In order to save
me
and the entire world
My dear Jesus, you died on a cross
To save all the souls of the lost
How can I possibly understand
How it felt to have in your hand
The nails that pierced
The thorns that stabbed
The hatred that rang in your ears
My sin put you there
And yet You still care
Your desire for me
Is simply to be
Yours
and no one else’s
You gave me Your life
Though it caused You great strife
Please help me give back to You
Honor and glory in all that I do
Father
you deserve nothing less
There are not enough words to say
what it will be like in heaven some day
To lay at your feet
To have out eyes meet
And know
what true love really is
