A New Day Dawning
There is a new day dawning;
The sun is shining through.
Cascading on my lilies,
In this misty morning dew.
Just behold what splendor;
The Lord's loving hands hath made.
While His handiwork and beautiful art,
Are majestically displayed.
Then as the sun turns into night;
A million stars appear,
Flickering, glowing, with all their might,
In this cool, calm atmosphere.
The frogs and crickets sing their song;
While the night birds seem to sing along.
Then a praying mantis seems to say,
"Thank you Lord, for such a beautiful day."
