Feeding The Spirit
Satan will lead us
Down a path of seduction
With lusts and addictions
That will cause our destruction.
Drinking and gambling,
Adultery and lies,
Are all part of his plan
To create our demise.
He paints a beautiful picture
Of stealing and cheating;
And knowing, full well,
That our souls take a beating.
Satan will try
Every trick in the book,
Just to lead us to sin,
Until he gets us all hooked.
But, if we will just listen
To the Lord, deep inside,
By feeding His Spirit ~
He will help turn the tide.
For, by feeding the spirit
And denying the flesh,
The Lord will help us fight Satan
And his tempting requests.

little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you,
than he that is in the world." (1 John 4:4 KJV)
