Our Lives

Our lives are like the grains of sand

Sifting slowly through an hour glass,

We pray and watch. We strive and plan.

But Lord, it's You who makes things come to pass.

My life is not my own, Lord.

You know I'm just passing through.

So, help me to stay focused

On the things You'd have me do.

Don't let our minds get weighted down

With the pressures of each day.

Let us share each other's burdens

And be a lamp to light their way.

Keep our eyes transfixed on Heaven

And away from worldly things,

Let everything we say and do

Bring Glory to Your name.

Tomorrow isn't promised, Lord,

And all we have is just today

To tell lost souls about Your grace

And how they can be saved ..

By kneeling at the rugged cross,

With their heart and souls in hand.

We know that's where forgiveness starts,

For each and every man.
