The Burden of the Cross

The burden of the Cross,

is each of ours to bear.

We cannot follow Jesus,

and not, in suffering, share.

We must realize this burden,

this overwhelming strain;

We must all experience His great love,

while, at the same time, suffering, in our pain.

The Cross represents His Sacrifice,

His devotion, and His unconditional love.

It speaks volumes of His commitment,

and all the pain thereof.

So, may we not be quick to boast,

of works or any deeds ...

But, let us reflect upon the love of Jesus,

Who was the One designated,

to become the Christian seed.
