Are You Excited
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the
voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall
rise first:” (1 Thessalonians 4:16 KJV)
One of my beloved pastors that I had when I lived in Texas preached a
challenging sermon “Higher Than a Kite”. Pastor Byron said in the sermon “If you
want to fly higher than a kite, start bragging on Jesus”. He was so right
because when I started bragging on Jesus, I became very excited!
When Jesus comes back for us, He is going to be so excited to see us that He is
going to shout with joy! O that you and I would get so excited about telling the
good news of our risen Saviour, that we would shout it joyfully to the world!
Are you excited about telling the good news of Jesus?
We brag about our children and grandchildren and show their pictures to everyone
we see. It’s time that we start bragging about Jesus and show His picture to
everyone we see. It is so important that when people see us that they see Jesus
in our smiles and hear Him in the kind words we say to them.
Ron Hamilton, better known as Patch the Pirate, wrote a song as a tribute to his
dad “I Saw Jesus in You”. Every Christian must ask himself or herself “Do people
see Jesus in me”? When people look at you, do they see Jesus in you? Only you
can answer that question.
Heavenly Father, thank You for trusting me to serve Your beloved Son. I pray
that everybody I love will brag about Jesus to everyone they see. When people
look at me, I pray that they will always see Jesus in my smiles. Amen.
