Do You Say So

“Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.” (Psalm 107:2 KJV)

When your pastor asks for people to give testimonies, do you give your testimony and say so? If you do give your testimony, how do you give it? Joyce Landorf Heatherley, a Christian speaker and author, said on one of her teaching tapes that a woman used to get up and give the same testimony every time.

The woman would say “I’ve got the joy of the Lord.” However, when she said that she had the joy of the Lord, she never smiled. Do you smile when you are talking about what Jesus has done for you? When the pastor asks for testimonies, every Christian should raise his or her hand and give a testimony.

Jesus has redeemed us from the hand of satan through His precious redeeming blood that He shed for us on the cross of Calvary. Our Scripture verse doesn’t say that it would be nice to give our testimonies. It says “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.” Will you say so and tell what Jesus has done for you?

Heavenly Father, we confess that we have sinned by not giving our testimonies. Please have mercy on us and forgive us. I know that it breaks Your heart and hurts You when we don’t tell everyone what Your beloved Son has done for us. The next time our pastor asks for testimonies, please help us to open our mouths and say so. Amen.
