Jesus is my mighty Rock
Dear Prayer
partners and fellow believers - Here are some thoughts of
encouragement and admonishment the Lord is using right now
in my life, inspired by the visions of the prophet Zechariah
and the teaching of John MacArthur. I have also included
what I feel would be an appropriate response to the Lord. I
have made it personal, so that you can use it as a guide in
your prayers. May it bless your life as it has mine, and may
these truths in God's Word and the power of His Spirit fill
you to overflowing this day!!
Jesus is my mighty Rock, the foundation stone and capstone
of my life, the Author and Finisher of my faith. He takes
away the filthy garments of my life and clothes me with the
rich robes of His righteousness. Before Jesus, my King and
High Priest, no mountain of evil will stand. I can sing and
rejoice, for through Christ I have become part of His
people, and through the Holy Spirit the Lord Himself has
come to dwell in within me. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You,
Lord!
While today I may walk in the shadows, He has given me a
place to walk among those in heaven. God help me to have
this heavenly perspective today.
Where lawlessness and apostasy rule, He gives me the
standard of His Word and the rule of righteousness in my
heart. God, help me to live by this heavenly standard today.
"This is what the Lord Almighty says: Administer true
justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not
oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor.
In your hearts do not think evil of each other." Zech 7:
9-10(NIV) God, help me today to be obedient to Your will,
and accomplish these things not out of a sense of duty, but
with a glad heart and in Your power.
Obedience is important. When I obey God's Word it will bring
great joy, peace, and prosperity. I must not substitute
ritual and tradition for obedience if I wish to continue in
God's true blessings. God, help me today put aside my
rituals and traditions, and serve You in true obedience. And
thank You for the blessings that will bring.
God loves me with a zealous love, and He wants nothing to
stand between Him and me. He is greatly saddened when I sin,
for it separates me from Him, and He longs to dwell with me
in perfect fellowship, with His full presence. When I am in
right relationship with Him, His blessings will flow into my
life as limitless oil, anointing me with blessing and
filling the lamp of my life as it burns for Him. This oil
will be supplied automatically and without human agency.
God, I confess and turn from anything that comes between You
and me, so Your oil of blessing can anoint and fill my life.
And thank You for Your zealous love. .
The Lord says that I will succeed not by human might, not by
the power of the will, but by His Holy Spirit. God, help me
today trust in Your Holy Spirit and not my own strength.
