God's Desire
"And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the
earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands:" (Hebrews:
1:10 KJV)
Have you ever wondered why God created us in the first place? I have, so
one day I asked Him about it. I said, "I know that You are a Loving
God so why would You make us in the first place knowing that Your Beloved Son
would die for us?"
This is what He told me, "I need nothing or nobody because I am God,
however I desired fellowship so I made man." If you know God, then
you know that He is not vain. He does not look in a mirror to admire
Himself. He does not need us to worship Him because He does not need
anything. He desires our fellowship. The reason He tells us to
worship Him is because He knows that we will worship something.
Everything God does is for our benefit. Sometimes our earthly parents
will say, "I am doing this for your own good." A lot of times
it is not for us they do something, it is for their benefit. What a
Loving God we have!
Do you know this Loving God? I didn't ask if you are saved, I asked if
you know Him. There is a big difference between being His child and
knowing Him. There are many children who never know the heart of their
parents. We know what our parents look like and the things they tell us,
but do we really know what is in their heart? Do we know what make them
happy and what breaks their heart?
Do you know what makes God happy and what breaks His Heart? We must
spend time with Him daily. We need to fellowship with Him and allow Him
to talk to us.
