Price Worth Paying

Beloved saints, as we live in this hostile world streams of permissive modern practice of Christian faith comes as aloud, a clear call beckoning the church into the high, holy and heavenly life Christ offered two thousand years ago.

The call of God today is a renewal of the commitment to holiness. It is a refreshing call to a rededication to the preaching and practice of Bible purity, which is a missing truth in the contemporary church. To untie the knot around the subject of sanctification, ‘J. A. Wood’ in his book called, “Perfect Love” raised 228 questions and also provided answers to them. Beloved, it is our ultimate duty to defend holiness. We must define it through our lifestyle and more so denounce all opposing views and thoughts.

The entire universe appears to be unworthy of real holiness preachers and Christians. This ungodly world and wicked people therein cruelly murdered God’s innocent, holy and lovely Son, Jesus. This wicked world also killed the apostles of old: -

a) Matthew was supposed to have been martyred with the sword in Ethiopia.

B) Mark was dragged through the streets of Alexandria in Egypt till he died.

C) Luke was hanged upon an olive tree in Greece.

D) John was put into a cauldron of boiling oil at Rome but escaped the death. He afterward died a natural death at Ephesus in Asia.

E) James the great, after suffering great persecution was beheaded at Jerusalem.

F) James the less was thrown from a pinnacle or wing of the temple and then beaten to death with a fuller’s club.

G) Philip was hung up against a pillar at Hierapolis or Phrygia.

H) Bartholomew was flayed alive by the command of a barbarous king.

I) Andrew was bound to a cross where he preached to the people till he died.

J) Thomas was run through the body by lance in India.

K) Jude was shot to death with spears.

L) Simon Zealot was crucified in Persia the modern day Iran.

M) Matthew was stoned and beheaded.

N) Peter was crucified with his head downward.

O) Paul, the last and chief of the apostles also died by violence. He was beheaded at Rome.

P) Matthias was stoned and beheaded.

Beloved reader and saint of God, all these died in faith, but what will be your end? Will you keep your faith till the very end?

(1 Cor 16:13-14) “Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love.”

Remember that you are loved and appreciated, Remain blessed and rapturable, Yours to reach this generation with the Gospel,
