A Window of Love

“And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made: And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.” (Genesis 8: 6, 7 KJV)

There are times when it feels like we are trapped behind a heavy door of confusion, doubts, hurt and turmoil in our hearts and we can’t open the door no matter how hard we try. Jesus is the only one who can unlock the door of heartaches. He is the only one who has the key because He is the key of love to our hurting hearts. Jesus makes a window of love for us to escape.

Many people grew up in a home filled with fighting, cursing and hatred. They were trapped behind a heavy door of loneliness and despair. There was no love displayed in their homes, only ugliness and criticism. Only Jesus was able to provide a window of escape; a window of love and hope in a life that was full of devastating pain.

What kind of home do you have? Do you have a home filled with love and kindness, or do you have a home filled with criticism and sarcasm? Do you always insist on having your own way, that you are always right in every situation? Is your home filled with fighting, or is it filled with peace? Are your children hurting because they see and hear their parents constantly arguing?

Have you let Jesus in the window of your heart so that He can unlock the heavy door of sin in your life? Has the precious atoning blood of Jesus been applied to your heart? Have you said yes to the Christ of Calvary? If not, there is no better time than right this minute. Please don’t put it off as you might not have another opportunity to say yes to Jesus.
