God's Bath

"Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." (Psalm 51:1,2,7 KJV)

When we take a bath, we wash our whole body. When Jesus washes us, He washes our heart. Sometimes we try to be kinder to people and go out of our way to help someone. We can do all the kind deeds in the world and think we are fine. However, until Jesus washes our heart with His Redeeming Blood, we are still dirty.

None of us deserve the Mercy that Jesus extends to us. Every one of us deserves to go to hell for the way that we treat Him and one another. It is hard for me to comprehend with my mind such Love and Mercy!

Has your heart been washed by Jesus? Have you allowed Him to pour His Cleansing Blood into your heart? If not, I urge you to go to Him right now and plead for forgiveness. You may not have another hour.
