Which IS more important to you? Your MORTAL body
OR your IMMORTAL soul? Let us see what the Word says OK?
Rom 8:10 "But if Christ is in you, the body indeed is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness."
Rom 8:13 "for if you live according to flesh, you are going to die. But if by the Spirit you put to death the practices of the body, you will live."
Rom 8:17 "And if children, also heirs; truly heirs of God, and joint-heirs of Christ, if indeed we suffer together, that we may also be glorified together."
Rom 8:18 "For I calculate that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to compare to the coming glory to be revealed in us."
1Co 15:54 "But when this corruptible shall put on incorruption, and this mortal shall put on immortality, then will take place the Word that has been written, "Death was swallowed up in victory.""
1Co 15:55 "O death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?"
2Co 4:11 "For we who live are always being delivered up to death on account of Jesus, that also the life of Jesus may be revealed in our mortal flesh;"
2Co 4:17 "For the lightness of our present affliction works out for us an eternal weight of glory, surpassing moment by surpassing moment;"
If you are like me, the things going on are making you wonder how close IS the return of Christ. It also lets me know that the times of persecution against Christians is very near at hand. Too often here in America, we think we will be spared the times of persecution. After all, we are the home of the free to do what we want place right?
Wrong! Even today our rights and privileges
according to the Constitution and Bill of Rights is being slowly
dismantled under our noses. It is becoming more and more clear that
being a Christian in this Country is no longer well tolerated. Even God
is not wanted any longer by the majority. Who are the majority, those
who would rather worship false gods: 2Ti 3:1-5 "But know this, that in
the last days grievous times will be upon us. For men will be lovers of
themselves, money-lovers, braggarts, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient
to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural feeling, unyielding,
slanderers, without self-control, savage, haters of good, betrayers,
reckless, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
having a form of godliness, but denying the power of it; even turn away
Perhaps it is time to re-evaluate your relationship with Jesus? Are you living one hundred percent for Him? If not you better get it straight now. The time is coming when many here in the USA will die, be imprisoned, or bear persecution for the name of Jesus.
Yes it IS going to happen and even now, to some extent, already is! Even if you believe in a PRE-rapture scenario, these things will occur long before the rapture. Now you can bury your head in the sand and say: “No way,” but that will not change the Word of God.
2Ti 3:12 "And, indeed, all desiring to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted."
2Ti 3:13 "But evil men and pretenders will go forward, worse to worse, leading astray and being led astray."
How would you answer these questions? (Many have already answered them and died or saw their families limbs torn off in front of them.)
Check your Faith, and the depth of your commitment to Jesus.. Phi. 1:21 "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." and Mark 8:36 "For what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world, yet forfeit his soul?"
What would you do if a man or men came to you and said renounce this Jesus or die?
What would you do if the same thing occurred but instead the gun was pointed at the head of your child, children, family, or spouse?
What would you say in court, when brought before a judge, for the crime of Christianity or saying God out loud in public?
What would you answer to a non-believer (even IF you knew he was seeking to have you arrested) if he asked you what you believe, knowing the answer will cause death or prison?
How will you respond?
What will you say?
Check your hearts Saints. This will be called upon you, at some point.
Will you be a Judas or a Stephen? (Act 22:20 And when the blood of Your witness Stephen was poured out, ....)
Will you deny Him or Proclaim Him, (2Ti 2:12 if we endure, we shall also reign with Him; if we deny Him, that One will deny us;)
Will you pray for those who are about to kill you? Mat 5:44 "but I say to you, Love your enemies; bless those cursing you, do well to those hating you; and pray for those abusing and persecuting you".
Will you stand on your Faith and the Word of God, or bow down to them, in fear of your mortal body? Mat 10:28 "And you should not fear the ones killing the body, but not being able to kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell."
Which will it be, save the mortal body, lose the IMMORTAL soul, or
lose the mortal body (to death or dismemberment) and save the IMMORTAL soul?
Just some thoughts to ponder.
