Praise or Complain

“This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 118:24 KJV)

Today is the first day of a new year. We have a choice to make for today and every day that God gives us. We can choose to rejoice and praise God, or we can complain to Him about all the things that we want and don’t have. There are many things that we want that are not good for us, or is not in God’s will for us. Some of the things we want we don’t even need.

For those of us who have made a heart commitment to Jesus, every day should be full of excitement, Joy, and Peace. Yes, we will have obstacles and heartaches each day. However, Greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world. We do not have to let satan get the victory in our daily walk. All we have to do is to say the Beautiful Name of Jesus, and He will step in and help us.

Each minute that we spend complaining could have been used to tell others about Jesus. If we would ever allow it to sink into our hearts that people are hurting and desperate, we would ask Jesus to forgive us for our constant whining and complaints.

For so many years, I lived a life of selfishness. Thank God, that one day Jesus deposited His Love in my heart and gave me a new heart. Reach out to someone today and hug that person. A hug for Jesus will warm someone’s heart and may just stop that person from committing suicide.
