A Hospital of Love

“When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities. And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.” (Matthew 14:13,14 KJV)

When I was going through all those long years of a devastating and crippling depression, I was hospitalized several times. They were not hospitals of love; they were just buildings. There was no love dispensed, only medicine. I never found happiness or freedom from my tortured mind in those hospitals.

There is another kind of hospital and it is a hospital of love. Jesus is the doctor. His hospital is not contained in a building. His hospital is the world. There is peace, joy, happiness, safety and eternal security in His hospital. The only thing that is dispensed in His hospital is unconditional love for us.

Our Saviour’s heart is filled with compassion for us. He really does love us and He wants us to be happy. He died for us that is how much He loves us. I don’t know what is going on in your life today but Jesus knows. He is waiting with His arms wide open for you to run into them. He longs to pick you up and carry you through the dark valleys of your life.

Not only will He carry you through the dark valleys, He will also kiss the tears from your heart and your eyes with His tender compassionate kisses. You don’t have to go through this life alone. It’s too hard! In fact, you can’t make it without our Saviour. Allow our compassionate Saviour to heal your broken heart. There is no one like Jesus! No one loves you like He loves you.
