Are you in Love?
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John
3: 16 KJV)
Jesus proved that He loves us when He died on the cross and earned the right to
become our bridegroom. Are we ready to meet our bridegroom, our precious Saviour,
because He can come at any minute? We read in the Bible “While the bridegroom
tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made,
Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him” (Matthew 25: 5, 6).
How heartbreaking it would be for Jesus if when He returns for us, we aren’t
ready to meet Him.
We are in love with our spouses, but are we in love with Jesus? He gave His life
for us. What are we giving to Him and what are we giving up for Him? One of the
most important things that we can give up for Him and do to make Him happy is to
turn off the television set and email or call people and tell them the good news
of our victorious risen Saviour and that He loves them unconditionally.
Are we giving Him all of our time, all of our talents and all of our hearts?
When a person really loves someone, that person will do everything possible to
make the one he or she loves happy. Are you in love with Jesus? If so, what are
you doing for Him and what have you given up for Him? How would you feel if
Jesus came back while you were watching television and looked you in the eye and
asked you “Why are you watching television instead of telling people that I love
them? Don’t you love Me?”
