Do you Have a Broken Heart?

“The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as
be of a contrite spirit.” (Psalm 34: 18 KJV)
I receive a lot of emails from people that are brokenhearted because their
marriages are falling apart. Some have children who have gone astray. To all of
you who are hurting today, no matter what the reason is that you are hurting, I
want you to know that Jesus loves you very much and He understands how it feels
to have a broken heart. When He was here on earth, His heart was broken time and
time again because of the way He was treated. When you laugh, He laughs with you
and when you cry, He weeps with you.
Our families and our friends can encourage us but only Jesus can put the pieces
of a broken heart and a broken marriage back together again and make them whole.
While it breaks our hearts when we don’t know where our children are, Jesus
knows where they are and He is more than able to protect them and bring them
back home. Jesus loves our children more than we do. He can take care of them a
lot better than we can take of them. We can trust Him with our children.
If you have a broken heart today, run into the waiting arms of Jesus and let Him
comfort you as only He can. He will lift you up in His protective arms and hold
you close to His tender and loving heart. He will carry you through all the dark
valleys of your life and put you on the mountain tops of happiness once again.
What a Saviour! What a friend, this Jesus of Nazareth! Thank You, Jesus, for
loving us and for always being here for us.
