Everything is Possible with God
“Delight thyself also in the Lord and he shall give thee the
desires of thine heart.” (Psalms 37: 4)
Right before Christmas in the year that I turned 71 years of age, for some
reason I started thinking about the chocolate meringue pies that Mama used to
make every Christmas because she knew they were my favorite. She tried to make
the dessert that was the favorite of each of her three children and other
members of their family. I especially remembered the ones she made the Christmas
we all went to Beaufort, SC when Daddy moved her down there. Well, I got to
thinking about that Christmas and said to the Lord, "It would be so good to have
one of Mama's pies this year. I miss her so much."
To make a long story short, our dessert maker in the family brought cookies,
fruit stuff and chocolate pies just like Mama used to make! I told her of my
conversation with the Lord just the week before. She smiled broadly and said, "I
used my Mama's recipe for this one!”
God is good.....all the time and He proved to me that Christmas that there is
NOTHING to hard for him to do!
