Faith
"Jesus answered and said unto them, 'Verily I say
unto you, if ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which
is done to the fig tree; but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, be
thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all
things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.'”
(Matt 21:21,22)
When I lay down at night to sleep, I have faith the bed will not fall down.
I must tell you, my faith is sometimes misplaced; beds have been known to
collapse; so you cannot say with all certainty that they are faithful.
Moreover, I have faith when I sit in a chair, it will hold my weight. These
also have been known to be unreliable.
People; friends; relatives have a habit of disappointing us.
Governments; city, county, state and federal have a reputation for being
undependable.
Business, companies of every color and hue are known to defraud people. Who
among us have not had some experience in which we are in a position of being
defrauded or had a business representative lie to us? Business of every
kind, prove over and over again they cannot be trusted.
In every walk of life we come across those who, for the sake of acquiring
extra money, the almighty dollar, or some other advantage or personal
benefit will lie, cheat and steal.
So, you might ask who can you trust? Who can one put his/her faith in?
The answer is: there is only One; Jesus, the risen Lord and Son of the
Living God is the only One we can truly put our faith in. He is completely
faithful and trust worthy.
Prayer: Thank You Lord that we can trust in You and have Faith that You will
never disappoint us. Thank You for Your steadfastness; there is no shadow of
turning in You. You are the same yesterday, today and forever. In Jesus
name, Amen.
