God's Gas Station

“Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.” (Isaiah 55:1 KJV)

I remember when my Dad managed a self service gas station in Texas many years ago. They were having gas wars at the time and Dad was selling gas for twenty five cents a gallon. Cars were lined up for almost a block waiting to get gas. God has a gas station where we can fill up on the living water. O that every person in the world would be lined up waiting to get the living water.

We will never have to pay for this living water because the price was paid for us in full by Jesus when He shed His precious blood for us on the cruel cross of Calvary. Yes, our salvation is free to us. We can’t buy it or earn it. What amazing, undeserved and unconditional love flowed from the heart of Jesus that day for you and for me as He hung there on the cross of horror and agony for our sins, bleeding and broken hearted.

Have you allowed Jesus to remove the sin from your heart and replace it with His atoning redeeming blood? Has there ever been a time in your life when you humbled yourself and swallowed your pride, admitted that you are a sinner, and asked God to forgive you for your sins? Have you invited the Christ of Calvary into your heart to be your personal Saviour?

If not, I urge you; I plead with you to say yes to Jesus before it is too late! One day, it will be too late for you to say yes to Jesus. Your family and friends can’t make the choice for you. Salvation is a personal matter between you and Jesus. Don’t put it off another minute. Give your heart and life to Jesus right now.
