Keep Giving From Your Heart

“And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” (Ephesians 4: 32 KJV)

I have heard several people say this month “I will be so glad when Christmas is over and I can put the decorations up and not have to worry about giving gifts for another year.” How this statement must hurt Jesus and break His heart. Instead of celebrating the birthday of our precious Saviour and focusing on Him, these people are only thinking about material things.

When we put the Christmas decorations up, we still need to give gifts to our families, our loved ones and our friends every day of the year. We need to give forgiveness and unconditional love from our hearts. We must keep giving from our hearts all year long. Christmas is not about material things. Christmas is about the birth of Jesus and it is the day that joy, happiness, peace and unconditional love came into the world. O that we would stop commercializing Christmas!

You can give gifts to Jesus every day of the year by forgiving others when they hurt you. You can make Jesus happy by extending unconditional love and compassion to people. Please don’t pack your heart away with the Christmas decorations. Allow Jesus to remove any bitterness, sarcasm, criticism and resentment that satan has put in your heart.

Jesus, would You please decorate our hearts with forgiveness, compassion and unconditional love for our families and friends so that we can give gifts to them every day all year long. Happy Birthday, Jesus. May You have the best birthday celebration You have ever had. I appreciate You and I love You with all of my heart. Thank You for all You have done for me. Amen.
