The Greatest Package of All
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the
voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall
rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with
them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with
the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians
4: 16 - 18 KJV)
I have had several packages delivered to me by UPS and by Purolator. Yesterday
as I waiting for another package to be delivered to me, I realized that the
greatest package of all, a package that is going to be sent to us from the heart
of our loving Heavenly Father, could arrive before I received the package that
UPS was delivering. One day, God is going to say to Jesus “Son, it is time. Go
and get your waiting bride.”
God Himself is going to ship the greatest package of all to us as He sends His
Son back to earth to take us home to be with Him for all eternity. I don’t know
which one of them will be more excited. Our Heavenly Father will watch as His
precious Son finally receives the honor that He so richly deserves. When God
sees every person bowing their knee and hears every person confessing that His
beloved Son is Lord, I think He will be so happy and so excited that He will
give a loud victorious shout of joy!
Our precious Savior's heart will be filled with an overwhelming joy and love as
He comes back to get His bride to take them home to be with Him for all
eternity. I think if we will listen with our hearts we will be able to hear the
angels rejoicing. Bells of victory will echo in Heaven as they celebrate the
homecoming of the Bridegroom and His bride. Even so, come Lord Jesus!
