A Love-a-Thon for Jesus
“The Lord hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee
with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.”
(Jeremiah 31:3 KJV)
I believe that we would make the heart of Jesus very happy and have the greatest
harvest of souls for Jesus the world has ever seen if we would have a
love-a-thon for Him. If every Christian would join the love-a-thon for Him and
tell everyone they see that Jesus loves him or her, hearts would be touched and
lives would be changed.
We preach to people. We tell them that they are on their way to hell unless they
invite Jesus into their hearts to be their personal Saviour. However, so often
we neglect to tell them that Jesus loves them. I have had several people come to
my home through the years and ask me if I was saved but not one of those people
told me that Jesus loves me.
Let’s start telling everyone we see that Jesus loves them unconditionally. If
they don’t know that Jesus loves them, why would they want to go to Heaven to be
with Him? Are you willing to join the love-a-thon for Jesus? It will mean
getting out of your comfort zone and spreading the love of Jesus to people who
desperately need to know they are loved.
Heavenly Father, we ask You to please forgive us for watching television hour
after hour instead of using that time to spread the unconditional love of Jesus
to our families, our friends and to those who are hurting. Help us to love
others unconditionally just as Jesus loves us unconditionally. Amen.
