A Victorious Day

“And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said, Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.” (Matthew 28: 5-8 KJV)

What a power packed verse! “He is not here: for he is risen, as he said, Come, see the place where the Lord lay.” Never has there been a day that was filled with such joy, happiness and excitement than the day when Jesus rose from the dead. What a victorious happy day! The Saviour of the world rose from the dead just as He said He would.

Because He lives, we can live also when His precious atoning blood is applied to our hearts for the forgiveness of our sins. As you celebrate the resurrection of our Saviour, thank Him for His unconditional love. Thank Him for dying for you; for paying the price for your sins. Let’s all of us make an extra effort to tell everyone we see about our risen Saviour and the sacrifice that He made for us and about His unconditional love.

Has the cleansing atoning blood of Jesus been applied to your heart for the forgiveness of your sins? If not, I urge you; I plead with you to humble yourself, admit that you are a sinner, ask God to forgive you and invite the Christ of Calvary into your heart to be your personal Saviour. Thank You, Jesus, for paying the price for our sins. Thank You that because You live we can live with You in Heaven for all eternity. We love You, Jesus, and we appreciate all that You have done for us.
