Any Minute

“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” (Matthew 24:44 KJV)

We live as if Jesus is not coming back for us for many years. I think that sometimes we forget that Jesus could come back for us at any minute. Perhaps we really don’t believe that He could come back for us at any time. If we really believed He could come back for us any minute, I don’t think we would say things and do things that hurt our families and friends.

How sad it would be if Jesus would come back for us today and find us watching a game on television instead of spreading His unconditional love to those we love and to those who are lost and on their way to hell. Would we be able to look Him in the eyes or would we have to hang our heads in shame?

May God forgive us for spending more time watching television than we do telling others the good news of our risen Saviour. There are so many people who are hurting, some to the point of suicide, and they desperately need to know that someone cares.

I challenge each one of us, including myself, to spread His unconditional love and compassion to our families, our friends, and to everyone we see. Are you willing to turn off the television and spend that time loving others to Him? We need to get out of our comfort zones and serve Jesus.

Jesus left His comfort zone in Heaven and all that He had to come to earth on His mission and die for us. How can we do less than give Him all of our time, all of our money, all of our talents and everything that we have? It all belongs to Him any way. Give Jesus your time, your talents and all that you have.
