I Choose to Live in the Present
I choose to live in the present...
If I try to live in the future, I'll torment myself constantly with the willing help of Satan, feeling lost and helpless, because by living in the future, I'm living ahead of God and not letting Him lead me. God knows my future.
By looking back at the doubts and worries and regrets of the past, I am not looking at God ahead of me, who leads me away from this to Brighter Days, and I stumble in the reality of the day I am living in right then.
That is why I live for today, looking to God for
guidance in every word I speak and every step I take as a humble servant of
God and for God. For God will lead me to green pastures if I follow Him, and
He will pull me out of the deepest pit if I choose to grasp His mighty hand.
He forgives me my sins of the past with His unconditonal love, and He
clothes me in White Robes of righteousness. Then, He walks with me, hand
-in-hand and side-by-side, during the day, as He leads me to the Future Home
He has already prepared for me.
